New Job! Car Sold! Adrenaline Overload!

Posted by E-George on May 16, 2007

More has happened in the last 2 days in terms of serendipitous confluence of circumstances.

On Monday, I was offered a new, incredibly awesome job from a former manager. Obviously, I took it. Just after that, I got a call from someone who saw my Craig’s List ad selling my Jetta. I met the family later that evening, and they called even later that evening with an offer.

On Tuesday, I sold my car.

On Wednesday, we officially started our new lives as a one-car family.

On Wednesday evening, I can barely string together a cohesive sentence. I’m shot. Matthew has gone to Portland, which is probably good for him to be away from me during this incredible adrenaline let down.  I’m wafting between elated and terrified.  1 car will be a challenge, but a good challenge.  A new job will exhilarating and highly rewarding, but leaving a team of folks I’ve worked with for 7 years is oddly bittersweet.  And this from a person who has no sentimentality in her soul.

You know what I do when stuff like this happens? The “Shells n Cheese” resuscitation protocol. The medical community in general hasn’t quite caught up w/ this innovative treatment algorithm but I’m sure w/ the proper research & data analysis I’ll one day be seen as the Albert Schweitzer of my generation.

Wow. I’m totally willing to demo this treatment.

Wow! Where will you be calling work in the future Mrs. E?

Yay! You’ve been talking about that job deal for awhile, and I’m thinking it sounds right. Losing the Jetta’s just icing. Some day soon, I wanna hear the details. Congrats.
