Feeling sentimental about weddings & steak

Posted by E-George on August 25, 2007

On Wednesday, Matthew and I are flying to Minnesota to attend the wedding of his brother, Craig, to, easily, the perfect woman, Kayla.

It has made me think about other weddings. Mine. My parent’s. Aunt Anne’s. My sibling’s. My grandparent’s. Happiness is the expression of the love of companionship like [...]

How NOT to start the first day of school

Posted by E-George on August 20, 2007

If ever there was a dream destination, it would be Polson, Montana. Or Kalispell. Either one, really. [...]

Cumbres & Toltec Railroad

Posted by E-George on August 14, 2007

The thing you’re supposed to notice about an experience like the Cumbres and Toltec railroad would be the vistas like this:

But, I was completely hypnotized by vistas like this:

The intrusion of this Giant Pinkness was only amplified by the, at times, violent swaying of the train and the rather viscerally chilling timbre of her voice.
Matthew [...]

Ojo Caliente Spa and Resort

Posted by E-George on August 8, 2007

Last week Matthew took us on a well-planned first anniversary trip over a long weekend. Our first stop was the Ojo Caliente Spa and Resort, in Ojo Caliente, New Mexico. Some things to note:
Ojo Caliente is north and east of Espanola - a mere spit of a “town” that is comprised of an [...]
