- Go to the Dean of Arts & Sciences’ office.
- Get told the Dean won’t sign that card because you’re in the school of engineering. The Dean of Engineering has to sign it.
- Go Farris Hall and find the Dean’s office.
- Exchange friendly banter with people who are visibly smarter than you.
- Wait for the Dean to get off the phone.
- Request his signature.
- Be subjected to his probing inquisition pertaining the source and reason for failure and the future prevention thereof.
- Get his signature.
- Go to the Records office.
- Wait in line.
- Get told there is a hold on your account over mandatory advisement.
- Get advisement by your advisor.
- Request the hold be lifted by the undergraduate program Ruler of All Administrative Knowledge.
- Go back to Records
- Wait in line
- Get told that you can’t drop the class because it is tied to a lab and that you have to drop the lab and the lecture.
- Go over to Regner Hall and find your Lab TA.
- Inform her you’re being made to drop the lab class. Watch her grow utterly indignant and take you down to the Lab Director’s office.
- Explain the situation to the Lab Director.
- Listen to him calmly ask for your Student ID and watch him calmly send an email to someone named “Alex” to allow you to finish the lab while still dropping the lecture.
- Wait until Monday to drop the class to allow for the email to get to “Alex”.
